What is it with you Christians and clinging to the phrase "God works in mysterious ways"? He only seem mysterious because you refuse to learn how he works. Science tells you how the world works. Even if you're a christian, it still tells you that.
Show me any inconsistencies between science and the bible, and I will point out why you're wrong. Take the creation of the (current) world, for example. (I won't go into "the repeated Big Bang theory" and how it fits, just suffice to say God likely didn't think he needed to mention that in the bible) Did not God once say "To me, a thousand years is as a second, and a second is as a thousand years"? Doesn't that mean he had plenty of time to create the world through evolution during his "one week"? And it fits rather well with the order he made stuff (I don't have a bible in front of me, so I will have to wait for a Christian to find this thread to explain how it fits, but you might be able to figure it out on your own, such as the phase were he created the sky was the phase where the atmosphere formed, and such)
As a Christian Scientist-in-Training, I believe God loves Order, and so had a basic system in creating the world. He didn't make a way for matter or energy to be created or destroyed, except by him, and so there is no way. He wanted to prevent stuff from floating all over the universe, so he created gravity. He created it out of complete Chaos, and so there is randomness. And so on and so forth.
