Ratchet & Clank Deathlocked, or Gladiator in Norway, was a terrible disapointment, they removed everything I counted as a classical part of the series, they even removed Clank.
Yes, you heard right, they removed Clank.
They also removed the roaming around an big area and replaced it with a gigantic battledome.
You remember all those nice weapons you had in the last games?
They are gone now, they decreased the amount of weapons and also removed my two favorite weapons, the RYNO and the sheepinator.
The RYNO was replaced by a weapon with abillities close to the RYNO's upgraded form, but because of the price and the fact that you cant get the ammo besides buying it in overpriced verndors, it's awfull.
The sheepinator and all its clones in the other games was replaced by something called an omega mod, the deathlocked version of platinium bolt upgrades only that you can use the same one on multiple weapons, the same with the Infector, or something like that, the lava/ice gun, and the bouncer, they where all made into omega mods for weapons.
They decreased the amount of funny short movies wich I thougt was a big part of the game.
The bottom line is that if you are a Ratched & Clank fan, don't buy it, you will just be disapointed.
If you never heard of Ratched & Clank, buy it, it is an above average game but not as good as the others so buy the others first.
+I don't really know, there isn't really anything I liked, being too busy being annoyed to notice the few good things they DID put in. Please post comment if you know a + to use here.
- Producers are Lazy, the producers seems to be getting lazy out of to little competition and probably thought they could sell a crappy game with a popular title, which they can but that's not the point.
- Few weapons, they removed tons of weapons and gave us just a few to choose from.
- High prices, they completely destroyed the illusion of a galactic economy by multiplying money/prices by 10.
- Closed space, something I liked with the past titles are that you can roam very freely instead of following a certain path and order of missions and here you have the whole objectives list done for you.
I give this game 6 Missing RYNOs out of 10, but only from the POV of someone who has never played R&C
